Amd allibera els drivers catalyst 15.7 WHQL

Els usuaris d'AMD han hagut d'esperar 212 dies per rebre uns nous controladors gràfics signats, ja que des que van arribar els Catalyst 14.12 Omega només hem vist versions beta dels vermells.

Finalment s'han alliberat els controladors Catalyst 15.7 WHQL que ofereixen suport per a les noves Radeon R300 i les Radeon R9 Fury a el mateix temps que prometen una sèrie de millores i optimitzacions per a diversos videojocs.

Els nous drivers d'AMD ofereixen suport per al sistema operatiu Windows 10 i l'API DirectX 12, que promet un bon grapat de millores en els videojocs. Altres importants novetats són el suport per FreeSync en configuracions Crossfire, la nova tecnologia VSR (virtual super-resolution) i FRTC (frame-rate target control).

Virtual Super Resolution (VSR)

VSR provides image quality enhancements to games and Windows desktop users by rendering images at a higher resolution and then down-scaling the same.

Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC)

FRTC Allows the user to set a maximum frame rate when playing an application in full screen exclusive mode. This feature provides the following benefits:

• Reduced GPU power consumptionReduced system heatLower fan Speeds and less noise

AMD FreeSync and AMD CrossFire Support

• AMD FreeSync and AMD CrossFire can now be used together in applications using DirectX 10 or higher. Please note, this feature is currently not supported on systems configured in AMD Dual Graphics mode.
